Virtual GT Referral Parent Meeting on Thursday, November 20th. The meeting will be offered at 1 p.m. OR 6 p.m.

A Public Hearing will be held at the Bridgeport ISD Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Central Administration Office at 2107, 15th Street.
The district is seeking input from parents, community members, and other stakeholders to help shape a Campus Turnaround Plan and a Targeted Improvement Plan for both BIS & BMS.

Bridgeport ISD’s very own Paula Fippinger was featured at ESC Region 11’s Educator Spotlight! Fippinger is the district’s Advanced Academics Coordinator and serves all BISD”s gifted & talented students. Through targeted training and implementation of COGAT at 2nd and 4th grade, Fippinger has increased the number of identified GT students in Bridgeport ISD from 4% (90 students) in 2021 to 6% in 2025 (127 students). Qualifying scores were not adjusted, but instead, intentional GT training was provided on each campus, teaching educators how to look for and identify a potential gifted child.
