Bridgeport Golf Coach Alan Green Named 2023-24 Texas and Section 6 Men's Golf Coach of the Year by the NFHS Alan Green
One week after bringing home the State Championship trophy for the second year in a row, Bridgeport Varsity Golf Coach Alan Green was selected as the 2023-24 Texas and Section 6 Men's Golf Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations! Section 6 consists of five states including Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and Oklahoma. This is the second consecutive year Coach Green has earned this recognition.
In recognition of this award, the CEO of NFHS referred to this honor as designating his “status among the most elite coaches” and confirmed Coach Alan Green as the “most deserving recipient” as chosen by the NFHS Coaches Association Advisory Committee.
Additional accolades this season for Coach Green include being named the Texas High School Ladies Basketball Assistant Coach of the Year, as well as a special individual state championship title for his son, Aiden Green.
